Pressing Instructions

Pressing Instruction 

Remember that each heat press is unique; we typically begin at 380°F for 30 seconds, then let it cool and test to see if the patch is firmly affixed. If not, press for a longer duration. Some patches require more heat than others. After the patch is properly applied, turn it inside out and press once more for 15 sec. It's important to allow the patch to cool and check for permanence; if it's coming off, more heat is necessary. We highly recommend using a heat gun to test your heat press's actual heat. Glitter background patches often require more heat than other types of patches, while sequin patches do not need as much heat.

Chenille and Sequin Patches
Sequin patches will not require as much time as chenille all these patches have different thicknesses so they will all vary in the amount of time it takes but start with this 

  1. Typically begin at 380 Fahrenheit for 30 sec 
  2. Let it cool and check and see if the patch is firmly affixed if not press for longer 
  3. After properly applying turn inside out and press again for 15 sec 
  4. Allow patches to cool then check permanency 
  5. Sequin patches do not take as long as chenille patches to cool 

Metallic Patches 

  1. Set your heat press to 300 degrees farenfaiet 
  2. Cover with a Teflon sheet (do NOT use paper of any kind) and press for 10-sec medium pressure 
  3. Once tacked on turn the garment inside out and press for the back for 30- sec 
  4. Allow the patch to cool completely then do a final check 
  5. The most important thing to remember is the front of these patches is vulnerable and it's important to only press for 10 sec

  • 6j Threads LLC is not responsible for lost, missing, or damaged items that occur as a result of shipping.
  • At 6j Threads, we pride ourselves on the fastest shipping possible. During Peak season, sales events, or trade shows, processing times may be extended. Any delays will be communicated on our website or social media. 
  • If you order a ready-stock item before 2 PM, we ship it the next business day.

Combined shipping- if you place an order for a ready stock item with a custom patch or a pre-order item, the order will not be shipped until the preorder item/custom patch is ready 

Completed items (tees and sweatshirts) with DTF or Patches- All the shirts that we create are custom and will have a 7-14 business days TAT( does not include weekends, public holidays, or additional closed dates). 

Custom Patches- TAT will vary depending on the seasons These items can NOT be rushed and take time to produce. Your TAT will be provided in your invoice. 

  • Shipping starts at $8, and the cost increases based on the total value of your purchase. we ship both UPS and USPS

Please double your shipping address before completing your order we are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided.

In-Store Pickup

Yes, we offer a Pickup option from 101 Windsong Ln, Tolar, TX. You must select this option at checkout.

You will receive an email confirmation when your item is ready for pickup. Please ensure you pick up your item within 1 to 3 business days.

Refund Policy

At 6j Threads LLC, we take pride in creating high-quality custom tees and patches made just for you! Because each item is custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges on custom tees or patches unless there is an issue with the order due to our error.

Refunds & Replacements

We will offer a replacement or refund only under the following conditions:

•Defective or Damaged Items: If your custom tee or patch arrives with a manufacturing defect, printing error, or damage, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos of the issue.

•Incorrect Order Received: If you receive the wrong size, design, or color due to our mistake, we will gladly correct the order at no additional cost, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with a photo of the issue. 

How to Request a Refund or Replacement

  1. Email sales@6jthreads.com within 3 days of receiving your order.
  2. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the item.
  3. Our team will review your request and respond within 48 hours with the next steps.

Non-Refundable Situations

We cannot issue refunds or accept returns for:

•Sizing Issues: Please review the size chart before ordering, as we cannot offer refunds for incorrect sizing.

•Customer Errors: We are not responsible for mistakes made during ordering (e.g., selecting the wrong size, color, or design).

•Normal Wear & Tear: Fading, slight color variations, or natural fabric distress over time are not considered defects. We cannot provide any resolution if an item has been washed or altered in any way.
